It's been a whirlwind nine weeks since La Pomme opened its doors on #Ingatestone High Street. As we celebrate #shopindependentday on 24th June proudly championed by @hollytucker co-founder of #notonthehighstreet and UK Ambassador for Creative Small Businesses I wanted to express my sincere gratitude and thanks to the wonderful village that is #ingatestone in the heart of Essex for the overwhelmingly lovely welcome from fellow business owners, the community and visitors to the village. I have struggled to find the words to express the thanks and appreciation for the continued support and encouragement so I decided that today I would pen some words to champion Ingatestone and everyone within it!
A little bit about Ingatestone and why La Pomme is so blessed to be part of this wonderful community - for those who have not yet visited!
Ingatestone is a very unique and special village proudly championed by the community with pride for independent and individual retail that runs through a perfectly proportioned and accessible High Street. It has a lovely buzz and feel but never so busy that a wave or quick chat with a friendly face can't be had frequently. Ingatestone provides more than a place to shop, it provides a space to touch base with the crux of retail and hospitality, where real business owners are present and are eager to share their passions with you. It's not just about #shopping it's a true shopping #experience with a wide range of choice for everything you need as you explore the High Street which is filled to the brim with #independent businesses. After the year of the #pandemic we need to find and feel all that is good and real in this world and you won’t be disappointed.
Business owners support business owners, the #community supports the business owners with the business owners supporting the community. La Pomme is proud to be part of it all. If you haven't been, please do pay a visit, it really will make you feel good, I promise. We (as many businesses) are open Monday to Saturday and would love to see you any day of the week but some businesses do traditionally choose to catch up on a Monday so may not be open.
In the short weeks since La Pomme opened its doors we have proudly sent generous donations to Big Blue Ocean Cleanup and Women’s Aid through simply shopping with our conscious ranges, we are truly overwhelmed by your support.
Ingatestone has exactly what Holly Tucker found - a shopping experience that's "not on the high street" but it is on Ingatestone High Street 😊.
I cannot sign off without thanking the continued support for online sales too, for all the wonderful customers that chose to shop independent with La Pomme before we opened our first high street shop and who to continue to order from all over the United Kingdom and Ireland, I couldn’t do it without you all so thank you so much, always.
